Does God Give And Take Away?

Hey Everyone,

Have you ever read Job 1:21,

He said, “I came naked form my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!” (NLT)

I have heard alot of peolpe say that “God gives and takes away.” Well lets look at scriptures about who GOD is!

Love- 1 John 4:8

But anyone who does not love does not know GOD, for GOD is love. (NLT)

Healer- Psalm 103:3

Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases. (AMP) 

Proverbs 4:22 

For they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. (NLT) 

Truth- John 16:13 

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His on authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (NKJV) 

John 17:17

Sanctify them [purity, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by Truth, Your Word is Truth. (AMP) 

Eternal Life- 1 John 5:20 

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in Son Jesus Christ. This the true God and eternal life. (NKJV)

Rescue- Psalm 91:15 

When they call on Me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. (NLT) 

Now lets look at some things GOD hates!

Murder- Exodus 20:13

You shall not commit murder. (AMP)

Stealing- Exodus 20:15

You shall not steal. (AMP)

Sickness, Sorrow- Isaiah 53:4-5

4) Surely He has borne our griefs (sickness, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smiten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy] 5) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquitied; the chastisement [needful to odtain] peace and well-being for us was opun Him, and with the strips [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. (AMP)

Now lts look at Romans 12:2;

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be tansformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of GOD, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you ]. (AMP)

What is God’s perfect and pleasing will? Well it is Healing, Love, Prospraty, Eternal Life, Freedom and so much more! Now when we say “God gives and takes away” we are calling God a liar and a theif. Lets look at a few scritptures that tells us that God cannot lie and that He is not a theif.

Liar- Titus 1:2

In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began. (NKJV)

Romans 3:4

Of course not Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about Him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court. (NLT)

Theif- John 10:10

The theif’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. (NLT)

Now lets see what Isaiah 54:17 says:

But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have stoken! (NLT)

What are the weapons? They are sickness, pain disease, poverty and anything else that comes from the devil. Now if these weapons CANNOT prosper against us then how can God be a God that gives and takes away? He can’t put sickness, pain, disease and anything else that is bad on us because all of that is NOT in Him!!!! e wants to see us healed, prospering and so much more!!!! How can you go out and witness to other people if you are at home in bed sick? You can’t. So lets take GOD at His Word and believe that He DOES NOT take healing, prosperity and so much more away from us!!!!

If you are a kid, tween, or teen then think of this as your best friend. If you are a parent then think of this as your child.

Now that you are thinking about that. Let me ask you a question. Would you piu sickness, pain or suffering on your best friend or child? NO, OF COURSE NOT!!!! You don’t want see your best friend or child suffer. That is the way GOD is!!!! He doesn’t want us to suffer!!!!! So He’s NOT going to take away from us what Jesus gave to us on the cross. Jesus’ 39 strips is for our healing. When Jesus went to hell He took all the sins, sickness, pain, and sorrow and left it all there. when He came back form the dead He didn’t bring any of it back with Him!!!! Thank GOD!!!!!

So God can’t be a God that gives and takes away!!!!
