Hello There,

Okay I know I have not been on in a few weeks. They have been crazy weeks. I have been doing alot of things. My life is changing big time. So many new things happening and so much the LORD is doing. So I would like to apologize  for not updating. To be honest with all of you. This is the first time in about 4 days that I have even had access  the blog. So since I have not been able to share with you what the LORD has laid on my heart I would love to share a verse the LORD has given me for this season of my life that I’m about to enter into.

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you. – John 15:16(APM)

God Bless all of you.

If We’re Honest: Prayer Part 2

Okay so we are back to the subject on prayer. I would like to share something with  all of you. My prayer life is nowhere near were I would love it to be. I have always thought that prayer is very boring. I lie for the devil right there!!!!! I know it is wrong to think that or believe that. Now I have prayed for people, I’ll sit down and say a prayer, I’ll prayer a Bible verse that sticks out to me, ext. I always thought about prayer. I have read books about prayer. I have prayed the prayers from the Bible. But this is not all we have to do.

We can read all books, listen to the teachings on it, or we can talk about all we want. But that is not all we need to do. We need to make time to pray!! We need to make a date with the LORD. If that means setting your phone to remind you to pray, then that is what we need to do. If it means putting a note on the fridge, on the mirror, by your bed, then do it. Talking about it, reading about it, listening to others preach about it is not going to grow your faith like really getting down on your knees and praying for yourself.

Now I am I saying that we shouldn’t listen to others preach/teach it, read books about it?? NO!!! It will help us learn for about it. I love to listen Terri Pearsons preach/teach on it. I have books by Elizabeth George and have read some of them. But to build our own prayer life then we need to get on our knees and pray. We need to talk to the LORD and get to know HIS heart. We do that by spending time with HIM.

If you have someone that you love, you end time with them. Right?? Well if we love JESUS then we would make time for HIM. HE is the only thing that will get us through this life. So make a time and pray. If it seems boring to you then ask GOD to help you. Tell your flesh to shut up and pray. I have to do that.

Know if you miss day don’t bet yourself up over it. Ask GOD to forgive you and then start praying again. So let us this week to set a time everyday this week and pray.

GOD Bless,

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. – 1 Chronicles 16:11

If We’re Honest: Prayer Part 1

Okay so this subject is going to be in a few parts. I am not sure how many at this time but I just wanted to let you all know. Also if you have any questions about this subject that you may want to cover or anything please let me know. Okay let us get started.

Okay so today I want to talk about a prayer journal. How many of you like to write or take notes raise your hand??? If you did then I’m with you. I love to take notes and journal in my quiet time. Or any time for that matter. So taking notes or journaling is great but where do you do it or a prayer journal?

Well I want to tell you that there are many ways to do it. I have a prayer journal that I have made.  I have a things to stare me off. I have:

  1. Name
  2. Reason
  3. Scripture
  4. Prayer

I put the persons name down and the reason I’m praying or them. It can be healing, peace, joy, ext. Then I put some scriptures down that I want to pray over them. Then I write down a little prayer to get me started. It may grow over time but this works. You can have different categories as well. Like family, friends, school, church, ext. Have as many or as less as you want. But I do want to say that you need to pray and see how GOD wants you put it.

Also if you are like me then you love to write down prayers. I have then in journals, index cards, sticky notes, ext. But for me I have always thought that it has to be in order. But you know what it doesn’t. I would like to share a video with you that I found this week. Okay I know that the LORD put this on my youtube feed. But this video is  blessing to me and I want to bless you with it.

So the LORD blessed me with this video and love it! 🙂 I’m going to start my prayer journal like that. I hope it blesses you.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. – John 14:12

Guest Blogger: Finding Fellowship

So today I would like to welcome my good friend and sister in CHRIST, Danielle to my blog. She will be my guest today and I pray you are blessed by her post. So here we go!! 🙂

Hello, all! I am so happy to be guest posting here at Teen Faith 777! That’s right, this post was not written by the lovely Angle. She was kind enough to invite me to guest post here so you can get to know me and I can share a bit of what’s on my heart.

But before I get to that, an introduction seems necessary. My name is Danielle and I am a college student and blogger from Florida. I recently finished my first year of college and I am double majoring in Psychology and Behavioral Healthcare. After undergraduate school, I plan to attend graduate school a little further north to receive my master’s degree in either counseling or psychology and, eventually, I plan on opening my own therapy practice. When I’m not at school or studying, I love to share my message on my blog, Christian on Campus and further my knowledge and strengthen my relationship with God through bible study. I also love reading in general, catching up on my YouTube subscriptions and planning future travels. My next trip will be at the end of May to visit family in Georgia and I’m beyond excited!

Now, for what you’re really here for. As you probably read in the title, this post is going to be about finding fellowship and where and how you can do that.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.” Matthew 18:20

Many people seem to think that fellowship is an optional part of their walk with Christ. Sure, you can read your bible, pray and go to church and those are all great things to do. But building community with other Christians is also extremely crucial for spiritual growth and maintenance. Fellowship is essentially just friends who share the same faith you have, who can encourage each other and help each other grow and who can lift one another in prayer. C.S. Lewis once said “Is any pleasure on Earth as great as a circle of Christian friends by a fire?” and I can finally say I know how great it feels to have fellowship as a constant part of my life.

However, it’s equally as wonderful to be surrounded by Christian friends in other settings as well. You can find or create fellowship in almost any environment, whether it be online, at church, school or work. Some of my most treasured Christian friends I know, I have actually found through Instagram. For example, Angle! Angle and I met through the online bible study group I began at the start of 2016. Within no time at all we were able to ask each other for prayers and share our struggles with one another as if we had known each other for a much longer time. It’s amazing how the immense love Jesus Christ expressed for us long ago can unite people so effortlessly. How wonderful that God created so many beautiful people in His image to spread His word and love? It’s a shame not to take advantage of this great gift.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.  For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

If you are struggling with finding fellowship, I would start at church and look into signing up for a group bible study with people your age. Churches constantly have bible study groups going year round and it’s the perfect way to find people with the same beliefs and intentions. I personally joined a bible study for freshman girls at my university through a Christian campus ministry and made awesome new friends that I can trust and rely on. If you are in college, I suggest looking for any Christian groups that gather to bring glory and honor to God; you won’t regret it!

I also highly suggest looking for an online group of Christians. They’re everywhere! And if you for some reason are unable to find one, create your own! If you have Facebook, I suggest looking into the group “Growing Faith” which was started by a small YouTuber named Rachel Earls. I personally love that group. If you are a fellow blogger with Facebook, the Peony Project is a community of Christian women bloggers who support and encourage each other daily. If you enjoy bible journaling, look on Facebook for the “Journaling Bible Group” where people share their prayer requests and beautiful bible creations. Another great Christian group for teen girls that I am a member of is “A Teen Girls Group” which was created by Bella Keifer, a Christian blogger. That group was created for sharing godly advice, sharing ideas and much more. If you don’t have Facebook, Instagram is also a good place to find fellowship. There are always monthly or weekly challenges going on for Christian brothers and sisters to take part in; you just have to look for them! If you have trouble finding them, just make a post asking if anyone would like to join a group chat for Christians to uplift and support each other and create your own fellowship opportunity.

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42

I wish you all the best of luck in finding fellowship in whatever way is best fit for you and would love to hear about your success in doing so! Feel free to come visit me over at Christian On Campus and let me know about your fellowship experience and success.

Thank you, Angle, for having me here; it was absolutely delightful to be able to share my message with my new friends here at Teen Faith 777!

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity.” Psalm 133:1

I would like to thank Danielle for sharing with us her heart and the message that the LORD lead on her heart to tell us. It was a great privilege to have you here. Also you are very welcome. Be sure to check out her blog and let us both how you where blessed by this post. 🙂
