13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Today I want to highlight temptation in the book of 1 Corinthians. Now I know this isn’t the happiest thing to talk about, but I find it very needed. The Old Testament paints a pretty clear picture of what happens to Gods people when they are living by their own free will. I think of the Israelites who were Egyptian slaves for many years. They prayed and cried out to God for freedom, and finally He freed them from their bondage. But now that they were free, they had their own freedom of choice. Unfortunately…
